Job summary

Dicetek LLC seeks an experienced Portfolio & Program Manager to lead strategic initiatives in Abu Dhabi, aligning programs with business objectives and coordinating with PMO, service lines and executives for delivery.

The role involves governance, prioritization, risk management and proactive issue resolution across multiple projects to maximize value and ensure successful program delivery.

Responsibilities

• Oversee portfolio level and program management for strategic initiatives.
• Support project prioritization to maximize business value.
• Participate in discussions on IT funding, resourcing and prioritization for programs.
• Facilitate request intake and ideation processes.
• Identify, evaluate and manage portfolio risks.
• Manage one or more business programs and projects.
• Align programs to strategic objectives in collaboration with product and portfolio leads.
• Coordinate with PMs, Technology, training, PMO and department heads to ensure successful delivery.
• Plan and design programs/projects and monitor progress, addressing issues and taking corrective actions.
• Manage dependencies and interfaces between projects.
• Allocate common resources and skills across projects.
• Collaborate with service lines to deliver successful programs.
• Guide and mentor project managers in risk/issue management.
• Provide regular updates to senior business and IT executives about the portfolio.
• Demonstrate strong communication and vendor management skills.
• Coach teams of PMs and leads to achieve organizational goals.

Job description

• Proven experience in portfolio level and program management managing strategic level initiatives
• Has the ability to work on the portfolio level supporting the project prioritization to achieve the highest business value
• Participates in discussions and activities regarding IT project funding, resourcing and prioritization while advocating for the business as it relates to programs and projects
• Facilitates request intake and ideation process
• Understands, evaluates and manages risks to the portfolio
• Manages one or more business programs and projects
• Responsible for aligning programs, projects to strategic objectives and goals of respective service line working closely with Product owner, service owner and portfolio lead
• Works with PMs and engage with Technology, training, PMO and Heads of department to ensure successful implementation of projects and programs
• Plans and designs the programs and projects and proactively monitors its progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action
• Manages dependencies and interfaces between projects
• Ensures there is allocation of common resources and skills within the program’s individual projects
• Works together with the service lines and domains to have successful program delivery
• Guides and mentors, the project managers in managing the risks / issues related to their respective projects
• Works with and provide regular updates to Sr. Business executives and IT executives regarding the portfolio
• Good Communication and Vendor Management skills
• Guides / coaches and grows team of project managers, project leads to become successful and achieve organization objectives
