BiSSMiXi, based in Abu Dhabi, seeks a senior video specialist to own the look, sound and finish of our podcast, both in-studio and on-location. You will light, shoot and edit multi-camera episodes, ensure premium quality, and deliver bilingual subtitles in English and Arabic.

You will build out our in-house studios and travel for shoots, with fluency in English and a strong preference for Arabic. Join a growing, in-house production team in Abu Dhabi.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in professional video production for studio and on-location shoots.
• Degree or certification in film, video production, media, or a related field.
• Strong command of multi-camera shooting and editing.
• Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro and/or DaVinci Resolve for color grading.
• Excellent audio skills on set and post-production (Audition, RX or similar).
• Knowledge of cinema and mirrorless cameras; lighting and audio gear.
• Fluent English; Arabic is a strong advantage.

Responsabilités

• Plan, shoot and light podcast studio sessions with 2-4 person conversations across multi-camera setups.
• Film on location at events and brand features; scout locations and adapt to changing conditions.
• Edit full episodes with pacing, color grading and audio cleanup; deliver social cuts (9:16).
• Apply brand kit: titles, lower thirds, chapters and subtitles in English and Arabic.
• Manage media, backups and YouTube deliverables including thumbnails and chapters.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure premium visual quality.

About BiSSMiXi

BiSSMiXi is a refined discovery media brand based in Abu Dhabi. We feature founders, creators, specialists and premium brands through curated discovery content, our AI video production studio, and our podcast, Discovery Conversations, published on YouTube, Spotify and Apple Podcasts. We are building in-house podcast studios in our new office and are bringing filming and post-production fully in-house.

The role

We are looking for a senior video specialist who is equally confident in the studio and on location. You will own the look, sound and finish of our podcast. You will also film outside the studio: at events, at guest and brand locations, and for company content. We want someone whose standard matches the calibre of our guests, and who is flexible enough to move between a controlled studio set and a live shoot in the field.

What you will do

Podcast studio

• Plan and set up podcast shoots: camera selection, lenses, framing, camera positions and multi-cam angles for 2-4 person conversations
• Advise on and build out our in-house studios, including cameras, lighting, audio, monitoring and set layout, and recommend the right equipment to buy
• Light the set for a premium, cinematic look consistent with our brand
• Capture clean, broadcast-quality audio (lavalier and studio microphones, mixers, recorders)

On-location filming

• Film outside the studio: events, interviews on location, founder and brand features, product and venue shoots, and behind-the-scenes content
• Scout locations and adapt quickly to changing light, sound and space
• Work handheld, on gimbal and on tripod, and run compact lighting and audio kits in the field
• Capture B-roll and cutaways that lift the final edit

Post-production

• Edit full episodes from multi-camera footage: pacing, cuts, colour grading, audio mixing and cleanup
• Edit on-location footage into features, highlight films and social content
• Apply our brand video kit to every piece: titles, lower thirds, chapter cards, endscreens and subtitles (Arabic and English)
• Cut short-form highlights and reels (9:16) for Instagram, TikTok and YouTube Shorts
• Manage files, backups and media organisation, and prepare YouTube deliverables (thumbnail frames, chapters, export specs)

What we are looking for

• 5+ years of professional video production experience, covering both studio work (podcasts, interviews or talk formats) and on-location filming
• A degree, diploma or certification in film, video production, media or a related field
• Strong command of multi-camera shooting and editing
• Confident camera operator in the field: exposure, focus, movement, gimbal work and run-and-gun shooting
• Expert in Adobe Premiere Pro and/or DaVinci Resolve, including colour grading
• Solid audio skills on set and in post (Adobe Audition, iZotope RX or similar)
• Hands-on knowledge of cinema and mirrorless cameras (e.g. Sony, Blackmagic, Canon), lenses, lighting and audio gear
• A sharp eye for composition, lighting and premium visual quality
• Flexible with schedules and locations; a valid UAE driving licence is an advantage
• Organised, reliable with deadlines, and able to work independently
• Fluent English; Arabic is a strong advantage, as many of our episodes are bilingual

Nice to have

• Motion graphics in After Effects
• Experience setting up a podcast or broadcast studio from scratch
• Drone filming, with a valid UAE drone permit
• Live-switching or live-streaming experience (ATEM or similar)
• Familiarity with AI tools for editing, captions or audio cleanup

Working week: Monday to Saturday.
