Job summary

Wood in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an experienced PMC Engineering Manager to lead the engineering department and ensure successful project execution aligned with company goals for a high-profile client. The role requires extensive oil & gas sector experience, including brownfield modifications and leadership of engineering teams, with oversight of FEED activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Master’s degree in management or equivalent.
• 20+ years’ experience in oil & gas with 10+ years as Engineering Manager.
• Experience in brownfield modifications, instrumentation/automation, pipeline integrity, and safety upgrades.
• Experience in recruitment and development of technical staff.
• Ability to make independent decisions for complex problems.
• Knowledge of international codes and standards.
• Knowledge of engineering computer programs and general business software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent technical team and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality and accuracy of Engineering Consultant’s activities and compliance with contract, project specifications, codes, standards and best practices.
• Manage technical aspects of Project Risk Management Plan.
• Manage technical aspects of Management of Change Program.
• Support the Project Quality Assurance Program.
• Oversee development of ADNOC engineering staff assigned to the Project and mentor junior engineers.
• Define and engineer Brownfield scope requirements.
• Provide technical and administrative guidance to PMT and Contractor’s engineering organizations.
• Oversee design optimization and validation.
• Sponsor layout, design, 3D Model, HAZID, and PHA reviews for completeness and quality.
• Ensure involvement in development and analysis of design options and business models.
• Manage technical bid analysis activities.
• Involve technically during vendor prequalification, bid evaluation, and performance evaluation.
