Job summary

Star Services in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a Senior Plant Performance Engineer to provide strategic direction across energy conversion and plant efficiency. You will drive KPI led improvements, lead maintenance planning, and coordinate with stakeholders to optimise on/off-site performance.

The role requires a mechanical engineering background, 8+ years in power/desalination, and strong leadership and data analytics skills. Based in Abu Dhabi, you will champion safety and best practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with relevant experience.
8 years experience in Plant Performance Engineering of a large power generation and desalination or process systems environment.
At least 3 years in a supervisory role preferably in a power and desalination plant.
Experience in maintenance/engineering including plant performance experience is essential.
Experience in power plant system operation and maintenance practices with emphasis on optimizing performance.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement performance monitoring and data validation systems.
Identify opportunities to improve plant efficiency and commercial performance.
Prepare weekly and monthly KPIs and reports for BPP.
Lead or support maintenance and engineering planning, scheduling and budget processes.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize site performance and ensure safe operations.
