Job summary

UpNext UAE in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to join our Architecture and Engineering consultancy team. You will lead project planning and scheduling, develop integrated schedules, and ensure cross-disciplinary alignment to deliver on milestones.

The ideal candidate has at least 10 years in planning, strong project controls knowledge, and proven ability to work with contractors and project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in project planning and scheduling.
• Experience with reputed Gulf region engineering consultancy preferred.
• Strong knowledge of project controls and progress reporting.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all project planning and scheduling activities.
• Develop and maintain project schedules with cross-discipline alignment.
• Establish and implement project progress measurement systems.
• Monitor schedule execution across related projects.
• Conduct schedule risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with project teams, consultants, and contractors.
• Review contractor submissions related to planning and time impact.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports and dashboards.
• Provide recommendations for corrective actions on delays.
