Job summary

Lazourdy Contracting & Gen. Maint. seeks a Senior Planning Engineer to develop, update, and monitor project schedules on-site in Abu Dhabi. You will coordinate with project managers and site teams to ensure alignment with scope, resources, and timelines.

Job Description:

The Senior Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing, updating, and monitoring project schedules and work programs, ensuring alignment with project scope, resources, and timelines. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and analyzing progress reports, identifying critical paths, forecasting delays, and proposing corrective actions in coordination with project managers and site teams. The role involves overseeing project control activities, including resource loading, productivity analysis, and coordination with procurement and site execution to maintain realistic plans. The Senior Planning Engineer will also support tender and pre-construction planning, prepare baseline schedules, and contribute to risk assessments and mitigation strategies. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering/ with 8 - 15 years experience in UAE.
• Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in project planning and scheduling.
• Experience: Proficiency in project management software, Primavera P6.
• Strong project Planning and Production Planning skills, with experience in developing and managing detailed construction schedules.
• Advanced Analytical Skills and Project Control capabilities, including progress tracking, variance analysis, and reporting.
• Effective Communication skills to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and clients.
• Proficiency in planning and scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and MS Office tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline; advanced certification in planning or project management is an advantage.
• Several years of relevant experience in construction planning, preferably in building, Civil, and MEP projects in the UAE or GCC region.
• Solid understanding of construction methodologies, contracts, and industry standards, with a focus on safety and quality.
• Ability to work on-site in Abu Dhabi, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
