Job summary

Wood is seeking a Piping Fabrication Manager to lead all piping fabrication activities on ADNOC Gas EPCM projects in Abu Dhabi. You will ensure safe, efficient fabrication aligned with project specs, ADNOC standards, and international codes, coordinating engineering, procurement and construction to meet schedule and cost objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• 20+ years in oil & gas projects, with 8–10 years in a senior piping fabrication management role.
• Proven EPC/EPCM project experience, preferably in the Middle East with ADNOC Gas or similar operators.
• Strong knowledge of piping fabrication processes, welding, materials management, and quality control.
• Experience managing fabrication yards and subcontractors on large-scale projects.
• Familiarity with ADNOC standards, specifications and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all piping fabrication activities, including shop fabrication and modular assembly.
• Ensure adherence to ADNOC Gas standards and international codes (ASME/ASTM/API).
• Coordinate with engineering for accurate fabrication drawings and prioritization.
• Oversee fabrication yard operations, workforce planning, and contractor performance.
• Implement QA/QC, traceability, welding procedures, NDT, and ITPs.
• Monitor progress against schedule and mitigate risks or delays.
• Drive efficiency, cost control, and continuous improvement across yards.
• Ensure compliance with HSE and promote safety culture.
• Interface with Construction for smooth handover of spools/modules.
• Provide regular progress reporting to Project Management.
