Senior Piling & Foundation Estimator – Abu Dhabi

Job summary

Sundus is seeking an experienced Estimator based in Abu Dhabi to prepare accurate and competitive bids for piling and foundation projects, from enquiry through tender submission and handover.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying background with at least 5 years of estimating experience in the UAE/GCC, strong Excel skills, and the ability to read piling drawings and soil reports. English proficiency is required for tender submissions and client clarifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
• Minimum 5 years’ estimating experience in civil or foundation works in the UAE/GCC, including bored or CFA piling.
• Strong experience in first-principles pricing, including crew and plant productivity.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to read piling drawings and soil investigation reports.
• Good spoken and written English for tender submissions and client clarifications.

Responsibilities

• Review enquiries, drawings, specifications, programmes and contract requirements.
• Take off quantities for piling, concrete, reinforcement, testing, excavation, spoil disposal and temporary works.
• Build detailed rates based on crew and plant productivity, materials, mobilization, standby and overheads.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Prepare priced BOQs, tender qualifications, inclusions and exclusions.
• Respond to post-tender queries and price revisions/alternatives.
• Maintain the tender register and cost database.
