Job summary

Al Marwan Group is seeking an Estimator – Piling & Shoring to prepare accurate cost estimates and competitive proposals for piling and shoring projects in the UAE. The role requires strong foundation engineering knowledge and ability to develop cost-effective solutions that meet client requirements.

The ideal candidate will review tender documents, perform quantity take-offs, develop BOQs, and coordinate with engineering, procurement and operations to ensure timely and compliant tender

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an estimator in piling and shoring.
• Strong knowledge of foundation systems and estimation principles.
• Proficient in Excel, AutoCAD and estimation tools; UAE experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, technical specs, drawings and geotechnical reports to determine scope.
• Prepare quantity take-offs for piling, shoring and ground support systems.
• Develop Bills of Quantities and accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment and subcontractors.
• Analyze risks, pricing strategies and contingencies for competitive bids.
• Source quotations from suppliers and subcontractors to optimize project costs.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals in line with tender specs.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement and operations to validate pricing and execution plans.
• Ensure timely submission of compliant tender documents.
• Maintain cost databases, unit rates and market pricing trends.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Estimator – Piling & Shoring to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, tender submissions, and commercial proposals for piling and shoring projects. This role requires strong technical knowledge of foundation engineering, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to develop competitive and cost‑effective solutions while ensuring compliance with project specifications and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, technical specifications, drawings, and geotechnical reports to determine project scope and requirements.
• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for piling, shoring, and ground support systems.
• Develop comprehensive Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor works.
• Analyze project risks, pricing strategies, and contingencies to ensure competitive and profitable bids.
• Source and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors to optimize project costs.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals in accordance with client requirements and tender specifications.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and operations teams to validate pricing, methodologies, and project execution plans.
• Ensure timely submission of accurate and compliant tender documents.
• Maintain and update cost databases, unit rates, supplier information, and market pricing trends.
• Support contract negotiations and facilitate a smooth handover to the project execution team upon project award.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Estimator within the Piling & Shoring industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of foundation systems, including bored piles, sheet piles, secant piles, diaphragm walls, ground anchors, and other shoring solutions.
• Excellent understanding of estimation principles, construction methodologies, and commercial practices.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation software; familiarity with industry‑standard estimating tools is preferred.
• Previous UAE experience in piling and shoring projects will be considered a strong advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
