Tanqeeb in the United Arab Emirates (Sharjah) seeks a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to lead end-to-end payroll across multiple entities. The role requires strong Excel and HRMS experience, with the ability to manually calculate payroll when needed.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years of payroll experience in high-volume environments such as retail, F&B, or hospitality, with a proven record of accuracy, confidentiality, and timely payroll delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of payroll experience.
• Experience in a multi-entity organization.
• Experience in high-volume environments (retail, F&B, hospitality).
• Strong experience with HRMS/payroll systems.
• Advanced Excel skills (formulas, lookups, pivots).
• Ability to prepare payroll manually in Excel when required.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Discretion handling confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end monthly payroll across multiple entities.
• Collect, verify and consolidate payroll inputs (attendance, overtime, leave, deductions, allowances, incentives, commissions).
• Coordinate with HR Coordinators across entities, stores, restaurants and departments.
• Review attendance and employee data for discrepancies before payroll processing.
• Process payroll through HRMS/payroll systems and ensure accurate data entry and reconciliation.
• Manually prepare payroll in Excel when required, including detailed calculations.
• Maintain Excel-based payroll reports, trackers and reconciliations.
• Conduct payroll checks to ensure zero or minimal errors.
• Reconcile payroll with master data and prior periods; resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain confidential payroll records and related documentation.
• Support payroll-related reporting and audits as needed.
• Continuously review processes to improve accuracy, efficiency and controls.
