Job summary

Calo is seeking a Senior Chef De Partie to work with the head chef in our Dubai kitchen, overseeing daily operations, staff supervision, menu prep, and ensuring quality and freshness of dishes.

The ideal candidate will have CDP experience, 5+ years in hospitality, strong English communication, UAE residency, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment, including potential involvement in pastry and dessert trends.

Qualifications

• CDP experience required.
• Minimum 5 years in hospitality/catering.
• Must currently reside in UAE.
• Proficient English communication.
• Food manufacturing experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards.
• Fill in for the head chef in planning and directing food preparation when necessary.
• Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation.
• Manage and train kitchen staff, establish working schedule and assess staff’s performance.
• Must be able to clearly communicate tasks to team members.
• Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately.
• Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers.
• Produce high-quality plates both design and taste-wise.
