Job summary

DWF Law LLP in Dubai seeks a bilingual Paralegal (Arabic and English) to support the Global Risks team. You will assist lawyers on insurance disputes, policy reviews, and regulatory matters across the UAE and GCC, including litigation and arbitration before UAE and DIFC courts.

The role offers exposure to complex regional and international matters and collaboration with partners, associates, and clients in a dynamic, multilingual environment.

Qualifications

• Law degree or equivalent legal qualification.
• Bilingual in Arabic and English.
• Paralegal or legal support experience in insurance disputes.
• Exposure to UAE/DIFC Court litigation and arbitration.

Responsibilities

• Assist insurers, reinsurers, brokers and insureds in insurance disputes.
• Review insurance policies, endorsements and wordings.
• Assist with claims handling, investigations and coverage reviews.
• Prepare chronologies, summaries and litigation reports.
• Assist with recoveries and subrogated claims.
• Support regulatory and compliance matters for insurers in the GCC.
• Liaise with insurers, brokers, loss adjusters, experts and clients.
• Assist with litigation and arbitration before UAE/DIFC courts and tribunals.
• Prepare witness bundles and supporting documentation.
• Assist with disclosure and document review.
• Maintain case files and procedural timetables.

Why join us?

We are seeking a bilingual Paralegal (Arabic and English) to join DWF's Global Risks team in Dubai.

The successful candidate will primarily support the firm's insurance and reinsurance practice, assisting lawyers on a broad range of insurance disputes, policy coverage matters, subrogated recoveries and regulatory issues across the UAE and wider GCC.

The role will involve supporting litigation and arbitration proceedings before the UAE Courts, DIFC/ADGM Courts and regional arbitral/dispute resolution tribunals, as well as assisting with legal research, document management, client reporting and case administration.

The successful candidate may also provide support to the wider Dispute Resolution Group, Construction and Finance & Restructuring teams as business needs require.

The role offers excellent exposure to complex regional and international matters and the opportunity to work directly with partners, legal directors, associates, clients and experts.

Responsibilities

• Assist lawyers acting for insurers, reinsurers, brokers and insureds in relation to insurance and reinsurance disputes.
• Review insurance policies, endorsements and policy wordings.
• Assist with claims handling, claims investigations and coverage reviews.
• Prepare factual chronologies, claims summaries and litigation reports.
• Assist with recoveries and subrogated claims.
• Support regulatory and compliance matters affecting insurers and insurance intermediaries within the GCC.
• Liaise with insurers, brokers, loss adjusters, experts and clients.
• Assist with litigation and arbitration proceedings before the UAE Courts, DIFC Courts and arbitral tribunals.
• Prepare witness bundles, hearing bundles and supporting documentation under supervision.
• Assist with disclosure and document review exercises.
• Maintain case files, matter plans and procedural timetables.
• Assist with document translation and review of Arabic and English documents.
• Undertake legal and factual research.
• Coordinate with local counsel, advocates, experts and service providers.

What will help you succeed in this role?

Essential

• Law degree or equivalent legal qualification.
• Bilingual in Arabic and English.
• Previous paralegal or legal support experience within insurance and disputes.
• Exposure to UAE Court and/or DIFC Court litigation and arbitration matters.
• Experience handling insurance claims, policy reviews and regulatory compliance work.
• Strong legal drafting, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience liaising with clients, counsel, experts and other stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively on complex, multi-jurisdictional matters.
• Proactive, detail-oriented and able to manage competing priorities.
