Job summary

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) in Abu Dhabi seeks a senior Operational Risk Advisor to lead second-line ORA coverage for the GT&T portfolio, providing independent challenge on technology, information, data, and transformation risks.

You will engage with senior GT&T leadership, manage risk plans, identify control weaknesses, and guide AVP-level staff in a regulatory-focused environment with AI initiatives and complex changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering, Risk Management, Data Analytics or related field.
• 12–15+ years of relevant experience in financial services, technology risk, or regulated organisations.
• Significant experience in operational resilience, third-party technology risk, and second-line risk advisory roles.
• Proven experience engaging with senior technology stakeholders, risk committees, and regulators.
• Strong understanding of information risk, data risk, and technology control environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead second-line Operational Risk Advisory & Oversight (ORA) coverage for the GT&T portfolio.
• Provide independent challenge over technology, information, data, and transformation-related operational risks.
• Act as the primary ORA point of engagement for senior GT&T leadership regarding BAU operations, AI-enabled capabilities, and change initiatives.
• Maintain a risk-based portfolio coverage plan reflecting service criticality, third-party dependencies, and regulatory developments.
• Identify systemic control weaknesses and recurring operational risk themes.
• Provide leadership and technical guidance to AVP and Specialist resources.
