Job summary

First Abu Dhabi Bank is seeking a VP, Head of Operational Risk Advisory & Oversight for Group Technology & Transformation in the UAE. The role leads as a Second Line of Defence, delivering independent challenge across technology services, data analytics, AI capabilities and resilience, while ensuring governance alignment and risk insight for senior GT&T stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Risk Management, Data Analytics or related discipline.
• 12–15+ years' experience in financial services, technology risk or complex regulated organisations.
• Significant experience engaging with senior technology stakeholders, technology governance forums and regulators.
• Exposure to large-scale technology change, digital transformation and third-party technology risk.
• Strong technology risk judgement and advisory capability.
• Clear written and verbal communication, including executive-level reporting and governance papers.

Responsibilities

• Lead second-line Operational Risk Advisory & Oversight coverage for the GT&T portfolio, aligned to Group-wide risk priorities.
• Provide independent second-line challenge over technology, information, data and transformation-related operational risks.
• Escalate material risks to SVP for enterprise-level governance positioning.
• Support portfolio reporting, committee materials and escalation notes for governance forums.
• Engage with senior GT&T management and risk committees to ensure policy implementation and risk insights.
