Job summary

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) seeks a VP, Head of Operational Risk Advisory & Oversight for Group Technology & Transformation. This Second Line of Defence role leads ORA coverage for GT&T, providing independent risk challenge across technology services, data analytics, AI risk, and resilience.

The role reports to the SVP and interfaces with senior GT&T leadership, risk committees, and regulators where necessary.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Risk Management, Data Analytics, Information Systems or a related discipline.
Significant experience in financial services technology risk and second-line risk advisory roles.
Strong ability to challenge senior stakeholders while maintaining constructive engagement.

Responsibilities

Lead second-line Operational Risk Advisory & Oversight coverage for the GT&T portfolio.
Provide independent challenge and governance insights to GT&T senior leadership.
Ensure risk identification, assessment, control design and remediation across technology platforms and data/AI initiatives.
Coordinate with risk committees, Internal Audit, and regulators as needed.
Maintain evidence-based challenge aligned with Group Operational Risk Framework.
Support portfolio reporting and escalation to SVP for material issues.
