Job summary

IDC Technologies is seeking a Red Hat OpenShift Administrator to support and manage enterprise OpenShift environments across Development, UAT, and Production platforms in the United Arab Emirates onsite.

This role requires 5+ years of enterprise infrastructure experience, mandatory hands-on IBM Maximo Application Suite deployments, and deep Kubernetes and Linux expertise to ensure platform stability, security, and performance across multiple environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, or container administration.
• Minimum 4+ years of hands-on Red Hat OpenShift Administration experience.
• Hands-on experience with IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) setup, installation, administration, and troubleshooting (Mandatory).
• Strong expertise in Kubernetes architecture and administration.
• Experience using OpenShift CLI (oc) and Kubernetes administration tools.
• Advanced Linux administration skills.
• Strong knowledge of YAML configuration management.
• Experience performing OpenShift troubleshooting, monitoring, patching, and version upgrades.
• Hands-on experience with backup and recovery processes, including etcd management.
• Experience implementing autoscaling and workload optimization strategies.
• Knowledge of Docker and Podman container technologies.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts within OpenShift and Kubernetes environments.
• Experience managing persistent storage solutions and storage integrations.
• Expertise in RBAC, certificate management, and platform security.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain OpenShift clusters across Development, UAT, and Production environments.
• Perform OpenShift installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
• Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot MAS environments.
• Monitor cluster performance, availability, and health using enterprise monitoring tools.
• Troubleshoot OpenShift platform issues related to compute, storage, networking, and workloads.
• Manage backup, restore, DR, and etcd maintenance processes.
• Configure and optimize cluster autoscaling and resource allocation strategies.
• Implement and manage RBAC, security policies, and certificate management.
• Support container runtimes including Docker and Podman.
• Manage persistent storage, networking configurations, and Kubernetes resources.
• Collaborate with development and application teams on deployments.
• Ensure platform security, compliance, and operational best practices.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge-sharing materials.
