Job summary

IDC Technologies is seeking a Red Hat OpenShift Administrator to support and manage enterprise OpenShift environments across Development, UAT, and Production platforms in the United Arab Emirates onsite.

This role requires 5+ years of enterprise infrastructure experience, mandatory hands-on IBM Maximo Application Suite deployments, and deep Kubernetes and Linux expertise to ensure platform stability, security, and performance across multiple environments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years in enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, or container administration.
  • Minimum 4+ years of hands-on Red Hat OpenShift Administration experience.
  • Hands-on experience with IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) setup, installation, administration, and troubleshooting (Mandatory).
  • Strong expertise in Kubernetes architecture and administration.
  • Experience using OpenShift CLI (oc) and Kubernetes administration tools.
  • Advanced Linux administration skills.
  • Strong knowledge of YAML configuration management.
  • Experience performing OpenShift troubleshooting, monitoring, patching, and version upgrades.
  • Hands-on experience with backup and recovery processes, including etcd management.
  • Experience implementing autoscaling and workload optimization strategies.
  • Knowledge of Docker and Podman container technologies.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts within OpenShift and Kubernetes environments.

Position Summary

This role is ideal for an infrastructure professional with strong OpenShift administration expertise and mandatory hands-on experience with IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) deployments, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Detailed Job Description

As a Red Hat OpenShift Administrator, you will be responsible for the deployment, administration, monitoring, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise OpenShift clusters supporting critical business applications. You will play a key role in ensuring platform stability, performance, security, and scalability while supporting containerized workloads across multiple environments. The successful candidate will have extensive experience working with Kubernetes, Linux, container technologies, and OpenShift cluster operations, including upgrades, patching, backup and recovery procedures. You will collaborate closely with application teams, infrastructure engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless platform delivery and operational excellence. Experience with IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) is a mandatory requirement for this position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain Red Hat OpenShift clusters across Development, UAT, and Production environments.
  • Perform OpenShift installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management activities.
