Job summary

Wood is seeking a senior Project Construction leader to guide the construction team in delivering major oil & gas projects in the UAE. You will oversee planning, development and operations to ensure safe and compliant execution, while coordinating with contractors and ADNOC to minimize disruption.

The role emphasizes safety culture, constructability, and mentorship of UAE Nationals in construction management, with a focus on major brownfield and island work and implementing integrated safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Master’s degree in management or equivalent.
• Minimum 15+ years’ experience within the oil & gas sector, with broad Construction Management experience on major projects.
• Experience with contractors and suppliers worldwide.
• Experience in the recruitment and development of technical staff.
• Ability to make independent decisions in planning, organizing and coordinating to develop solutions to complex problems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent technical team and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Project Construction team to support objectives and strategies.
• Champion safety in all construction aspects and promote the safety objective: Nobody gets Hurt.
• Manage construction teams for planning, development and operations to ensure execution.
• Coordinate with Contractor’s construction planning to meet project objectives and requirements.
• Establish a construction organization to implement execution plans and coordinate resources.
• Provide construction and execution strategy support through oversight and assistance.
