Job summary

TechBiz Global GmbH in Dubai is seeking a capable on-site Systems Administrator to join our growing hosting team. This full-time role focuses on Linux administration, web hosting operations, and supporting PHP-based web applications.

You will work with OpenVZ/KVM, Docker, cPanel/WHM, Plesk, and security tooling while collaborating with peers to ensure reliable mail, web, and database services. The position requires strong English communication and hands-on experience in a hosting environment.

Qualifications

• Several years of hands‑on experience in the web hosting industry.
• Advanced proficiency in Linux system administration and troubleshooting.
• Cross‑platform support experience including Windows Server (IIS, MSSQL).
• Deep understanding of cPanel/WHM ecosystem, CloudLinux (LVE, CageFS, Selectors) and PHP tuning.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Collaboration: administer and maintain GNU/Linux OS and virtualized/containerized environments (OpenVZ, KVM, Docker).
• Web Hosting Operations: deploy, manage, and troubleshoot control panels (cPanel/WHM, Plesk) in shared hosting environments.
• Application & Web Stack Support: troubleshoot PHP, WordPress, Laravel, Node.js and Python stacks; resolve complex issues.
• Network & Security Operations: configure firewalls and WAFs; respond to security incidents such as malware and DoS.
• Mail Server Administration: troubleshoot mail flow; SPF/DKIM/DMARC and Exim/Dovecot proficiency.
• Performance & DevOps: monitor services; tune Apache, Nginx, LiteSpeed, MySQL/MariaDB; data caching/CDN strategies.
• Reliability & Migrations: support hosting migrations; test disaster recovery and backups.
