Job summary

Anotech in Abu Dhabi is seeking an Offshore Structural Engineer to support the design and analysis of offshore structures for oil and gas projects, delivering technically sound and constructible engineering solutions. The role involves design, technical reviews, multidisciplinary coordination, and preparation of engineering deliverables in line with project requirements and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• Strong offshore structural engineering experience in oil & gas.
• Experience with offshore design, analysis, and deliverables.
• Familiarity with offshore design codes and industry standards.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Experience with offshore facilities or brownfield projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support structural design and analysis for offshore structures (jackets, topsides, modules, bridges, risers).
• Review project specifications, design basis, and technical requirements.
• Prepare and review structural calculations, drawings, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with piping, mechanical, marine, and drafting teams to resolve interfaces.
• Support constructability reviews, offshore installation activities, and engineering changes.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, project specs, and HSE requirements.

Job description

The Offshore Structural Engineer is responsible for supporting the design and analysis of offshore structural systems for oil & gas projects, ensuring safe, compliant, and constructible engineering solutions. The role involves structural design activities, technical reviews, multidisciplinary coordination, and delivery of engineering documents in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support structural design and analysis activities for offshore structures including jackets, topsides, modules, bridges, risers, and associated steelwork.
• Review project specifications, design basis, engineering standards, and technical requirements.
• Prepare and review structural calculations, drawings, and engineering deliverables.
• Perform structural analysis for offshore structural components and support systems.
• Review vendor documents, technical submissions, and project deliverables.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including piping, mechanical, marine, and drafting disciplines to resolve interface issues.
• Support technical queries, model reviews, design updates, and engineering changes.
• Provide support for constructability reviews, offshore installation activities, and brownfield modification projects.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, project specifications, and HSE requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
• Strong offshore structural engineering experience within the oil & gas industry.
• Experience in offshore structural design, analysis, and engineering deliverables.
• Familiarity with structural analysis software and offshore design codes.
• Knowledge of applicable industry standards and engineering practices.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience supporting offshore facilities, installation activities, or brownfield projects is preferred.
