Job summary

Penspen is seeking an experienced Specialist Planning Engineer (Offshore) for a PMC project in Abu Dhabi. You will develop and maintain offshore construction schedules using Primavera P6, monitor progress, analyze critical paths, and coordinate planning inputs from construction, engineering, procurement, and commissioning teams.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree and has 17+ years in project planning and cost control in oil & gas, including offshore exposure.

Qualifications

Bachelor's in engineering, Project Management, or related field.
17+ years of experience in project planning and cost control within oil & gas, offshore exposure.
Minimum 5+ years in offshore projects (mandatory).
PMC experience preferred.
ADNOC projects experience would be a plus.
Strong knowledge of planning and cost control tools (Primavera P6, SAP, Excel).
Excellent understanding of project lifecycle, budgeting, and earned value management.
Proven ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain offshore construction schedules using Primavera P6.
Monitor progress against the approved baseline schedule.
Analyze critical paths, delays, productivity, and schedule risks.
Prepare progress reports, forecasts, and S-curves.
Coordinate planning inputs from construction, engineering, procurement, and commissioning teams.
Develop recovery plans and recommend corrective actions.
Verify contractor progress and ensure accurate progress measurement.
