Job summary

ADNOC is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to provide expert guidance on contractual matters, negotiate and finalize contracts with suppliers and contractors, and ensure procurement policy compliance. You will support development and updates of contract templates and collaborate with Legal, Audit and Purchasing teams to drive smooth processes.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 6 years of contract management experience, with strong negotiation,

Responsibilities

  • Review tender documents, bids, proposals, and quotations for technical and commercial compliance.
  • Negotiate and finalize contracts with suppliers and contractors.
  • Monitor performance of contracted parties to ensure compliance with contract specs and schedules.
  • Identify and resolve contractual issues, disputes, or claims.
  • Develop and update contract templates, forms, and procedures.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders (Purchasing, Legal, Audit) for smooth contract processes.

Job Specific Accountabilities
Contract Management
  • Review and evaluate tender documents, bids, proposals, and quotations for technical and commercial compliance.
  • Support to negotiate and finalize contracts with suppliers and contractors, ensuring that the terms and conditions are in line with the procurement objectives and standards.
  • Support the contract administrator to monitor and manage the performance of the contracted parties, ensuring that the deliverables are met according to the contract specifications and schedules.

Contract Development
  • Develop and update contract templates, forms, and procedures, in accordance with the procurement policies and best practices.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and contractors and establish longterm relationships.
  • Provide input and feedback on the procurement strategy, plan, and budget, and ensure alignment with the organizational goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with the internal and external stakeholders, such as the Purchasing Section, the Legal Department, and the Audit Department, to ensure smooth and efficient contract processes.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on contractual matters and conduct training and awareness sessions for the staff and the contracted parties.
Minimum Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.

Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills
  • 6 years of experience in contract management.
  • Good knowledge of the contract principles, practices, and processes, and the applicable laws and regulations.
  • Good negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, and the ability to handle complex and challenging contractual situations.
  • Good organizational, planning, and time management skills, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Good computer skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and contract management software.
  • Good written and spoken English, and preferably Arabic.
