Qualifications

• Medical degree from a recognized medical school.
• Accredited postgraduate training in Neurology.
• Recognized Board Certification or Specialist/Consultant in Neurology.
• Fellowship or advanced training in Stroke Medicine encouraged.
• Valid DOH Abu Dhabi license or eligibility per requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultant-level care for acute and chronic cerebrovascular disorders.
• Assess and manage acute ischemic stroke and intracerebral events.
• Participate in hyperacute stroke pathways and thrombectomy discussions.
• Engage in multidisciplinary stroke services and rounds.
• Support secondary prevention and long-term vascular risk reduction.
• Interface with neurointerventional, neurosurgery, cardiology and ICU teams.
• Contribute to stroke protocols, pathways and quality-improvement programs.
• Supervise residents and junior physicians; participate in teaching and research.
