Client of First Medical Center in the United Arab Emirates seeks a Consultant to provide specialist management of patients with cerebrovascular disease, working closely with Neurology, Emergency Medicine, Radiology, Neurosurgery, Intensive Care, Cardiology and Rehabilitation teams.

You will assess and manage acute stroke and TIA, develop prevention strategies, review imaging, participate in multidisciplinary stroke meetings, and educate patients and families about prevention while contributing

Qualifikationen

• Recognised medical degree and UAE licence or eligibility.
• Specialist qualification in Internal Medicine, Neurology, Stroke Medicine or related specialty.
• Significant experience in stroke management and secondary prevention.
• Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.

Aufgaben

• Assess and manage patients with acute stroke and TIA.
• Coordinate rapid neurological assessment and imaging.
• Participate in multidisciplinary stroke meetings.
• Develop secondary stroke prevention strategies.

Jobbeschreibung

The successful candidate will provide specialist management of patients with acute and chronic cerebrovascular disease and will work closely with Neurology Emergency Medicine Radiology Neurosurgery Intensive Care Cardiology and Rehabilitation teams.

Clinical Responsibilities

Assess and manage patients presenting with acute stroke and TIA Participate in acute stroke pathways Coordinate rapid neurological assessment and imaging Develop secondary stroke prevention strategies Manage stroke risk factors including Hypertension Diabetes Dyslipidaemia Atrial fibrillation Participate in multidisciplinary stroke meetings Coordinate rehabilitation and long‑term follow‑up Review CT MRI vascular imaging and other relevant investigations Provide inpatient and outpatient stroke care Educate patients and families regarding stroke prevention Participate in quality improvement audit and clinical education

Requirements

Recognised Medical Degree Recognised Specialist Consultant qualification in Internal Medicine Neurology Stroke Medicine or relevant specialty Significant experience in stroke management Strong acute stroke and secondary prevention knowledge Valid UAE medical licence or eligibility preferred Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills
