Job summary

Allocation Assist Middle East is seeking a Consultant Neurologist specializing in Stroke Medicine for a position in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The role encompasses advanced neurovascular assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, including acute stroke management, thrombolysis and thrombectomy pathways, and post‑stroke care.

The candidate will lead multidisciplinary stroke teams, develop evidence‑based protocols, participate in audits, and contribute to teaching and clinical governance.

Qualifications

• Medical degree with recognised postgraduate training in Neurology.
• Specialist Neurology qualifications with DoH Abu Dhabi license or eligibility.
• Significant post‑specialist experience in acute stroke management.
• Fellowship or advanced training in Stroke Medicine or Vascular Neurology is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultant‑level neurological assessment and treatment for acute and chronic cerebrovascular disorders.
• Lead acute stroke pathways, assess eligibility for thrombolysis and mechanical thrombectomy.
• Coordinate inpatient and outpatient stroke services with multidisciplinary teams.
• Supervise residents, fellows, and junior physicians; participate in teaching and quality improvement.
