Job summary

eMinds seeks a Senior Network & Security Engineer with hands-on expertise in Cisco SD-WAN, enterprise routing & switching, WAN technologies, and Palo Alto firewalls. You will implement, migrate, test, troubleshoot, and support enterprise network and security solutions within a Managed Services environment.

The role demands strong customer-facing capabilities and experience with complex WAN environments, including BGP, PPPoE, and firewall migrations to Panorama.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in enterprise networking, IT services, telecommunications, system integration, or MSP environments.
• Hands-on experience implementing and supporting SD-WAN and enterprise WAN solutions.
• Strong experience with Cisco routing and switching technologies.
• Knowledge of Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, and NX-OS.
• Experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls and Panorama.
• Familiarity with Nokia Nuage and uCPE solutions is a plus.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills and customer-facing abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage the implementation, coordination, testing, and delivery of Managed Services network and security solutions.
• Design, configure, deploy, and support Cisco SD-WAN and enterprise WAN solutions.
• Configure Cisco SD-WAN components including vManage, vSmart, vBond, and vEdge/cEdge routers.
• Deploy and support Cisco routers and switches across enterprise environments.
• Configure and troubleshoot BGP, OSPF, VLANs, ACLs, QoS, VPNs, and WAN connectivity.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues using packet captures, logs, and RCA.
• Work with customers to gather requirements and develop implementation/migration plans.
• Coordinate firewall migration to Palo Alto Networks and manage Panorama.
• Support network security incident investigation and resolution.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers during projects.
• Prepare and maintain network diagrams, plans, and procedures.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Network & Security Engineer with strong hands‑on expertise in Cisco SD-WAN, enterprise routing & switching, WAN technologies, and Palo Alto firewalls.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing, migrating, testing, troubleshooting, and supporting enterprise network and security solutions within a Managed Services / IT Services environment.

The role requires strong customer‑facing capabilities and hands‑on experience with complex enterprise WAN environments, particularly Cisco SD-WAN, BGP, PPPoE, Palo Alto firewalls, and network migration projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the implementation, coordination, testing, and successful delivery of Managed Services network and security solutions within agreed timelines.
• Design, configure, deploy, and support Cisco SD-WAN and enterprise WAN solutions.
• Configure and manage Cisco SD-WAN components including vManage, vSmart, vBond, and vEdge/cEdge routers.
• Deploy and support Cisco routers and switches across enterprise customer environments.
• Configure and troubleshoot BGP, OSPF, VLANs, ACLs, QoS, VPNs, and WAN connectivity.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues using packet captures, logs, monitoring tools, and structured Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Work directly with customers to gather technical requirements, assess existing infrastructure, and develop implementation and migration plans.
• Implement and troubleshoot PPPoE and internet access solutions, including BGP-related operational issues.
• Coordinate deployment and management of Palo Alto firewalls through Panorama.
• Configure and implement firewall security policies, access‑control rules, and related network security requirements.
• Coordinate firewall migration from other OEM/vendor platforms to Palo Alto Networks firewalls, working closely with relevant SMEs.
• Support network security incident investigation and resolution.
• Support Nokia Nuage / Universal CPE (uCPE) solutions where required.
• Troubleshoot virtualization‑related issues and support virtualized network environments.
• Work with Linux KVM and associated virtualized infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Network Architects, Security Engineers, Project Managers, and other technical teams during implementation and migration projects.
• Prepare and maintain network configuration documents, implementation plans, migration plans, network diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Provide post‑deployment technical support and ensure successful handover to operations/support teams.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in enterprise networking, IT services, telecommunications, system integration, or a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
• Proven hands‑on experience implementing and supporting SD‑WAN and enterprise WAN solutions.
• Strong experience with Cisco routing and switching technologies.
• Good working knowledge of Cisco IOS, IOS‑XE, and NX‑OS.
