Senior NDT Inspector - Quality Control in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates is a senior inspection opportunity within the Oil and Energy sector for experienced professionals with strong welding inspection, NDT review, and quality control expertise. This role is suitable for candidates who can review and verify ultrasonic testing, radiographic testing, magnetic particle inspection, dye penetrant inspection, visual inspection, and related NDE activities across oil and gas and petrochemical plant environments. The position requires deep technical inspection experience, ASNT Level II certification in UT, MT, RT, and PT, strong weld defect recognition, and the ability to ensure inspection work meets approved procedures, ISO 9001 requirements, project specifications, and client quality expectations.
- Review and support NDT activities including ultrasonic testing, radiographic testing, magnetic particle inspection, dye penetrant inspection, and visual inspection.
- Verify that NDE work follows approved procedures, project specifications, inspection test plans, and quality control requirements.
- Review welding inspection results, NDT reports, inspection records, test packages, and supporting technical documentation.
- Identify weld defects, discontinuities, material concerns, non‑compliance items, and quality‑related risks.
- Check NDT equipment calibration status, testing readiness, acceptance criteria, and inspection documentation accuracy.
- Support quality control activities for oil and gas and petrochemical plant projects.
- Apply ASNT Level II knowledge during inspection review and technical verification work.
- Coordinate with QA‑QC teams, welding inspectors, NDT technicians, engineering teams, contractors, and client representatives.
- Ensure inspection findings are properly recorded, reported, reviewed, and closed out within project timelines.
- Support ISO 9001 quality requirements and project quality procedures during inspection activities.
- Assist in resolving technical issues related to NDT results, weld defect evaluation, and inspection acceptance.
- Maintain high standards of safety, accuracy, documentation quality, and professional inspection discipline.
- Diploma or degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or a related technical discipline.
- 15‑20 years of experience in welding inspection, NDT review, and quality control.
- At least 8 years of experience in oil and gas or petrochemical plant environments.
- ASNT Level II certification in UT, MT, RT, and PT is required.
- Strong knowledge of ultrasonic testing, radiographic testing, magnetic particle inspection, dye penetrant inspection, and visual inspection.
- Practical experience in weld defect recognition, NDT report review, inspection documentation, and quality verification.
- Good understanding of NDT equipment calibration, material science basics, and ISO 9001 quality standards.
