Job summary

EPIC Piping is seeking a qualified NDE Technician with over 7 years of experience, including 2+ years as PAUT L-II. The successful candidate will possess a thorough understanding of international codes and demonstrate experience in Manual UT and PAUT on a variety of materials.

The role involves obtaining client approvals, supporting NDE engineers, maintaining equipment inventories, and performing examinations as required. A strong technical background in NDE practices is essential for this position.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in NDE with 2+ years as PAUT L-II.
• Mandatory qualification in PAUT L-II and PCN UT (3.1 & 3.2) L-II.
• Experience with various materials: CS, SS, LTCS, P11, Inconel, nickel-alloy.

Responsibilities

• Get client approval as MUT/PAUT/ToFD L-II.
• Support NDE Engineer in calibration and demonstration tasks.
• Maintain inventory of NDE equipment and accessories.
• Perform NDE exams and prepare inspection reports.

Skills

Hands-on experience in Manual UT and PAUT

Good understanding of international codes

Experience

Total Experience in NDE 7+ Year. After PAUT L-II qualification 2+ Year job experience as PAUT L-II and 5+ year job experience as PCN UT (3.1&3.2) L‑II is mandatory. Good amount of hands‑on experience in Manual UT and PAUT with various kind of material such as CS, SS, LTCS, P11 material, Inconel, and nickel‑alloy.

Role & Responsibility

• Get approval as MUT / PAUT / ToFD L‑II from Client / End user (Company) by demonstrating knowledge & experience in MUT/PAUT / ToFD & CNDT
• Good knowledge and understanding different acceptance criteria of international codes including ASME, AWS D.1, B31.3, API 1104 & ISO codes.
• Support NDE Engineer – ADVANCE UT/ L‑III to arrange Calibration & Demonstration, as necessary.
• Maintain inventory of equipment & accessories, Blocks etc.
• Independently perform all NDE job as allocated by department head or as instructed by NDE Engineer.
• NDE Examination Setup, perform examinations, review raw data under supervision of NDE Engineer and preparation of advance inspection reports as required.
• Regular liaise with client and department head / NDE Engineer for smooth job progress.
