Job summary

EPIC Piping in Abu Dhabi is looking for an experienced NDE Engineer specializing in ADVANCE UT. The role involves gaining project approvals, managing equipment inventories, and leading a team in executing advanced ultrasonics tasks.

Ideal candidates will have over 10 years of NDE experience, including 3 years as a PAUT L-III and a proven track record in various materials like CS and Inconel. Responsibilities also include mentoring junior technicians and liaising with clients.

Qualifications

• Total experience in NDE greater than 10 years.
• 3+ years of experience post-qualification as PAUT L-III.
• 5+ years of overall PAUT experience with hands-on skills on various materials.

Responsibilities

• Get approval as PAUT / ToFD L-III from client by demonstrating knowledge.
• Prepare and maintain relevant procedures for ADANCE UT.
• Maintain ADVANCE UT inventory of equipment and accessories.
• Lead ADVANCE UT crew and ensure regular job progress.
• Mentor L-II technicians and provide on-job training.

Job description

Role & Responsibility

As NDE Engineer - ADVANCE UT your Role & Responsibility will be as follows examples but not limited to.

• Get approval as PAUT / ToFD L-III from Client / End user (Company) by demonstrating knowledge & experience in PAUT / ToFD.
• Commendable knowledge of international codes including ASME, DNV & ISO codes.
• Standard L-3 functions such as prepare and maintain relevant procedures (MUT, PAUT, ToFD) and practical involvement for qualifying project procedures from Client / Company by demonstration/ validation as and when required.
• Arrange Calibration & Demonstration block by taking support of local manufacturer as per project requirement.
• Maintain ADVANCE UT inventory of equipment & accessories, Blocks for current and upcoming projects.
• Lead ADVANCE UT crew and maintain regular job progress as per project requirement and commitment. Practical involvement may require as per job requirement and the difficulty level.
• Mentoring L-II technicians for different type of job by involving physically, giving on-job training to junior technicians to build strong field work force.
• Examination Setup, perform initial examinations, review raw data and preparation & verifications of advance UT reports as necessary.
• Regular liaise with client / Company for smooth job progress.
• Improvement in ADVANCE UT application and introduce new technology and technique as per project / Client requirement as appropriate.

Experience

Total Experience in NDE 10+ Year. After PAUT L-III qualification 3+ Year job experience as L-III. Overall PAUT Experience 5+ with good amount of hands‑on experience in PAUT with various kinds of material such as CS, SS, LTCS, P11 material, Inconel, and nickel‑alloy.
