Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a senior mobile SDK lead to architect and own the iOS navigation SDK, turning a prototype into a commercial product. You will shape the public API, ensure robust documentation, and collaborate with routing, search, and tile teams in Dubai/UAE.

This role emphasizes engine-level design, performance, and long-term leadership to grow the mobile team. You will work directly with the Founder/CEO and own end-to-end architecture, APIs, and developer Experience, while delivering

Qualifications

• 10+ years building mobile software, with substantial iOS experience.
• Expert Swift and deep knowledge of location product fundamentals.
• Proven SDK/library development for external developers; semver and backwards compatibility.
• Experience with a major map/navigation SDK (Mapbox/MapLibre/Google Maps).
• System design at the engine-to-surface boundary.
• Write documentation as part of the deliverables.
• Self-directed with sound design judgment.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end SDK architecture for a mobile map product.
• Develop core navigation logic: turn-by-turn, ETA, rerouting.
• Design and maintain public API interfaces.
• Create docs, samples, migration notes and example apps.
• Lead localization and multilingual guidance.
• Ensure performance and battery/memory efficiency.
• Lead release engineering and testing; ensure quality.
• Provide leadership as the team grows.
