Role Purpose:
To own end-to-end online inventory management — from stock planning and allocation to day-to-day operations, brand drops, and consignment movement — and to drive on-site merchandising and search optimization that converts visitors into buyers, ensuring the right products are live, discoverable, in the right quantities, and selling at the right pace across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and other GCC markets.
Key responsibilities:
Inventory management
- Build annual and monthly online stock plans from the sales budget, by division, converting sales value into units and allowing for returns.
- Match online demand with the planned stock for each division and flag shortfalls
- Track allocation against the buy plan, review allocations with the central planning team and set sensible quantity limits by category to protect range breadth.
- Adjust online allocations to sales velocity and demand trends and replenish fast-selling categories before they sell out.
- Review weeks of inventory cover weekly, find where excess stock sits, and decide whether the fix is visibility or price.
- Monitor stock age by brand, category and sub-category, and plan markdowns, promotions and clearance for slow sellers, with the margin impact quantified.
Day-to-day operations
- Run the daily stock routine: check incoming deliveries, receipts and products waiting to go live, and clear blockers the same day.
- Move received stock through receiving, photography, content, quality checks and activation so it goes live quickly in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
- Track live product options against plan and highlight gaps by category.
- Plan weekly stock transfers from UAE to Saudi Arabia and confirm each one is shipped and received.
- Resolve stock discrepancies with the warehouse and technology teams.
- Keep the team’s stock, aging and launch trackers accurate and up to date.
Brand drops
- Review incoming stock to confirm which brands are ready to drop.
- Build a rolling drop calendar and share it with the inbound, studio, design, CRM and site content teams.
- Prioritise brands with the most options and stock ready, and keep a steady cadence of brand and campaign drops in each market.
- Check each drop goes live on the day with the right products, pages and promotion, and review how it performed.
Consignment movement
- Manage the flow of consignment stock from partner delivery to live on site, in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
- Track consignment stock, sales and sell-through by partner and brand, and flag slow sellers for review with the partner.
- Make sure consignment ranges are sold only in agreed markets and at agreed prices.
- Coordinate returns to partners and reconcile consignment stock and sales with partners and the warehouse.
- Set up stock, reporting and market rules before each new consignment brand launches.
Cross-functional coordination
- Act as the day-to-day link between e-commerce merchandising and the buying, planning, warehouse, studio and marketing teams.
- Work with merchandising and operations teams to balance availability and sell-through.
- Escalate delays to the owning team and follow every action through to closure.
On-site merchandising and search optimization
- Own the homepage merchandising strategy: plan entry points, banners and links so each one lands on a relevant, well-stocked product listing page.
- Optimize homepage-to-PLP conversion by reviewing banner click-through, page-zone heatmaps and link performance weekly, and briefing Design Team on changes.
- Improve PLP-to-PDP conversion by managing product sort order, ranking logic, category filters, promotional badges and visual hierarchy on listing pages.
- Define and maintain dynamic filters per category, specifying the facets, order and attributes needed for each market.
- Work with the search team to improve on-site search relevance: review no-result and low-click queries, build synonym lists, and set boost and pin rules for key categories.
- Track zero-view and low-view products as a share of live options weekly, and take action through ranking changes, banners or CRM campaigns to increase exposure.
- Run the weekly product-detail-page view slab report, identify under-performing categories and feed insights into sort, badge and promotion decisions.
- Monitor and report on the full discovery funnel — homepage, PLP, PDP, cart — by category and market and recommend actions where drop-off is highest.
How success is measured
You will be measured on three outcomes:
- Demand matched to stock plan – How closely online demand and planned stock line up by division, with healthy weeks of cover and gaps flagged early.
- Speed to live – How quickly received stock, including consignment ranges, goes live online in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
- Brand and campaign drops – Drops delivered on schedule each month.
- Homepage to product details page journey optimization across Search, Merchandising and Recommendations
