Job summary

Al Shafar United (ASU) is seeking a seasoned Project Manager – MEP to lead the delivery of complex, large-scale construction projects across the UAE.

The ideal candidate will bring 15–20+ years in MEP construction within the UAE/GCC, demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary teams, and a strong command of FIDIC contracts, claims and commercial controls to ensure on-time delivery and strict HSE/compliance standards.

Qualifications

• 15–20+ years of progressive experience in MEP construction in UAE/GCC.
• Experience with high-rise, hospitality, infrastructure and mixed-use developments.
• Proven experience with top-tier UAE MEP contractors.
• Full project lifecycle management (pre- and post-contract).
• Strong command of FIDIC contracts, claims, variations and commercial controls.
• Understanding UAE authority regulations, codes, approvals and compliance.
• Leadership of large multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, and multiple fronts.
• Lead MEP project lifecycle from planning through commissioning and handover.
• Drive planning, scheduling, budgeting, cash flow and cost optimization.
• Oversee design reviews, IFC drawings, submissions and method statements.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, authorities, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and specifications.
• Monitor progress, milestones and on-time delivery.
• Maximize commercial performance through claims, variations and final accounts.
• Enforce HSE, QA/QC and regulatory standards.
• Lead site teams including engineers, supervisors, foremen and subcontractors.
• Resolve RFIs and construction constraints proactively.
• Oversee inspections, testing, approvals and commissioning.
• Optimize site logistics, manpower deployment and resource allocation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the MEP project lifecycle from planning through commissioning and handover.
• Manage coordination with clients, consultants, authorities, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ensure adherence to FIDIC contracts, specs, and approvals while maintaining QA/QC and HSE standards.
• Monitor project progress, milestones, and budgets to deliver on time and within cost targets.
• Resolve RFIs, design reviews, and potential conflicts proactively.
• Oversee inspections, testing, authority approvals and final commissioning.
