Job summary

Al Ghurair Investment LLC is seeking an experienced MEP Project Engineer to support the Project Manager and MEP Manager across power project sites in Dubai. You will plan, coordinate, and supervise MEP installation works in line with drawings, specs, ITPs and schedules, ensuring quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical/MEP Engineering or related field.
• Typically 7–10 years of relevant MEP experience in large-scale projects.
• Strong ability to read MEP drawings, shop drawings, specs and layouts.

Responsibilities

• Assist PM and MEP Manager in managing all MEP activities across power project sites.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise MEP installation works per drawings, specs, ITPs and schedules.
• Coordinate MEP activities with civil, structural, electrical, construction, engineering, procurement, QA/QC and HSE teams.
• Review MEP drawings, shop drawings, equipment layouts and technical documentation before execution.
• Supervise installation, testing, commissioning of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, fire alarm and ventilation systems.
• Coordinate installation of mechanical and electrical services within substations, control buildings and other facilities.
• Ensure MEP works comply with designs, specs, codes and client requirements.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors and suppliers for technical issues and approvals.
• Monitor daily progress and report status, constraints and delays to project management.
• Support preparation of detailed work plans, look-ahead schedules and recovery programs.
• Review materials and coordinate with procurement and QA/QC for approved materials.
• Supervise subcontractors and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Coordinate inspections and testing with QA/QC and client representatives.
• Ensure testing, commissioning and handover activities are completed as planned.
• Identify clashes and resolve interface issues between MEP and other disciplines.
