Job summary

Innovo Group is seeking an experienced Planning/Project Controls Engineer to lead master programmes for major MEP projects in Dubai. You will mentor junior staff and provide advanced delay analysis support to the Planning Manager and commercial team.

The role requires 7–9 years of planning experience, strong Primavera P6 skills, and a proven ability to manage risks, track progress, and deliver recovery plans that optimise schedule performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related discipline.
• 7-9 years of planning and project controls experience on major complex MEP/construction projects.
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 including baseline development, resource loading, critical path analysis, progress updates, schedule integration, and forecasting.
• Strong knowledge of delay analysis methodologies, time impact assessments, EOT, recovery programmes and mitigation strategies.
• Experience coordinating with PMs, commercial teams, subcontractors, consultants, and construction teams to monitor progress and resolve risks.
• Excellent analytical, reporting, communication, presentation, stakeholder-management and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of detailed master programmes for major/complex projects.
• Integrate MEP subcontractor and supplier programmes into the overall project schedule.
• Conduct advanced delay analysis to support EOT claims and recovery planning.
• Prepare time impact assessments and present findings to Planning Manager and commercial team.
• Mentor Planning Engineers on programme development and analysis techniques.
• Review junior engineers' programme updates and provide feedback.
• Track actual progress against baseline programmes and highlight critical path deviations.
• Issue periodic progress reports and dashboards to project management and senior leadership.
• Identify programme risks across MEP disciplines and propose mitigation or recovery measures.
• Develop and update recovery programmes with project and construction teams.
• Introduce modern tools, technologies and processes to improve efficiency.
• Encourage innovative thinking to reduce costs without compromising quality.
