Job summary

SAM Building Contracting (L.L.C) in Dubai seeks an experienced MEP Estimator to lead cost planning for HVAC, plumbing, electrical and fire protection. You will prepare detailed estimates from drawings, coordinate with design and project teams, and drive competitive bids with suppliers.

Responsibilities include maintaining breakdowns, compiling bid packages, and presenting cost analyses to management, while pursuing continuous improvements in estimating methods and tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field (preferred).
• 6–8 years of experience as an estimator for MEP systems in construction.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection.
• Proficient in estimating software and tools (Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or equivalent).
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills; able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for MEP systems based on project drawings and scope.
• Collaborate with design, engineering and project management to gather data.
• Identify and solicit bids from subcontractors and suppliers; negotiate pricing.
• Maintain records of estimates including labor, materials, and overhead.
• Prepare bid packages for stakeholders; present cost analyses and viability.
• Stay updated on industry trends and identify process improvements.
