Job summary

KEO International Consultants is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Ras Al Khaimah, UAE team. The role focuses on leading mechanical engineering activities, coordinating with architects, structures, and other disciplines, and ensuring design integrity on infrastructure projects.

You will oversee pumping stations, review submissions, mentor a technical team, liaise with authorities, and support construction through technical Queries.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master's preferred.
  • Minimum 20+ years of professional experience with infrastructure works, 7+ years in UAE.
  • Mandatory consultancy experience, preferably in PMCM environments.
  • Strong technical knowledge, coordination skills and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical engineering activities under the project supervision scope.
  • Oversee pumping stations and non-building mechanical systems.
  • Review mechanical design submissions, calculations, specifications and reports.
  • Coordinate with architectural, structural, electrical and civil teams for fully integrated systems.
  • Manage and review performance of design consultants and contractors.
  • Liaise with authorities and utility providers to support approvals.
  • Monitor quality and constructibility; advise on project conditions.
  • Support construction by addressing technical queries and reviewing shop drawings.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring and technical guidance to the team.

Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our award-winning team based in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.

This critical role will be responsible for maintaining communication with the client’s site engineers on all project-related issues, and reviewing and implementing mechanical contract drawings and building specifications.

We envisage successin this role to include:

  • Leading and managing all mechanical engineering activities under the Supervision scope of services.
  • Overseeing mechanical systems, with a strong focus on pumping stations (non building related)
  • Reviewing and managing mechanical design submissions, calculations, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Coordinating closely with architectural, structural, electrical, civil, and other teams to ensure fully integrated infrastructure systems.
  • Managing and reviewing the performance of mechanical design consultants and contractors.
  • Liaising with local authorities, utility providers, and relevant stakeholders to support approvals and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitoring technical quality, risks, and constructibility, with consideration for project conditions where applicable.
  • Supporting construction activities by responding to technical queries, reviewing shop drawings, and ensuring compliance with approved designs.
  • Providing leadership, mentoring, and technical guidance to mechanical engineering teams.
Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).

  • Minimum 20+ years of professional experience, with extensive involvement in infrastructure works (7 years in the UAE)

  • Mandatory consultancy experience, preferably gained from working in a PMCM environment.

  • Strong technical knowledge, coordination skills, and stakeholder management capabilities.
