Job summary

KEO Group is a leading AEP/PMCM firm with a 60-year legacy of delivering landmark projects in the built and natural environments. We invite you to join our Dubai team as an MEP Inspector to supervise on-site MEP activities and support project delivery for complex construction programs in the UAE.

The role emphasizes rigorous site supervision, adherence to codes and standards, and collaboration with contractors and engineers to ensure quality installations and safe operations on site.

Qualifications

  • 10 years of professional engineering experience.
  • At least 3 years on landscape construction projects in UAE.
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee design, coordination and implementation of MEP systems for construction projects.
  • Ensure compliance with local codes, standards, and project specs.
  • Review and approve MEP shop drawings and submittals.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and safety.
  • Inspect and test MEP installations for quality and conformance.
  • Investigate and resolve MEP issues with stakeholders.
  • Prepare records of inspections and non-conformance reports.
  • Enforce safety procedures on site.
  • Provide technical guidance to project teams.

Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for a talented MEP Inspector to join our team based in Dubai, UAE.


The MEP Inspector will be responsible for providing on-site supervision and technical support for all MEP engineering aspects of the project. This includes ensuring compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and contract specifications.


We envisage success in this role to include;



  • Overseeing the design, coordination, and implementation of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for construction projects.

  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable local codes, standards, regulations, and project specifications in the country where the project is located.

  • Reviewing and approving MEP shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documents submitted by contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with project requirements and quality standards.

  • Conducting regular site inspections to monitor the progress of MEP works and ensuring adherence to approved drawings, specifications, project schedules, and safety standards.

  • Inspecting and testing MEP installations at various stages of construction to verify functionality, quality, and compliance with design intent.

  • Investigating and resolving MEP-related issues, clashes, or defects arising during construction, while coordinating with contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders to implement corrective actions.

  • Preparing and maintaining detailed records of MEP inspections, testing results, approvals, and non-conformance reports for quality assurance and project documentation purposes.

  • Ensuring all MEP activities on site are being executed safely by implementing and enforcing safety procedures, conducting safety inspections, and addressing potential hazards promptly.

  • Providing technical support and guidance to the project and construction teams on all MEP-related matters, including resolving technical queries, coordinating interdisciplinary works, and assisting with the interpretation of drawings and specifications.


Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 10 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years working on hard and soft landscaping projects during the construction phase in the UAEpartnered with a Bachelor Degree in Engineering.


Experience gained from working on large-scale landscape related projects in UAE is being looked for.
