Job summary

AstraZeneca is seeking a Senior Medical Representative in the UAE to positively influence prescribing behavior and achieve sales targets across designated products. You will engage with primary care professionals, implement local plans, and maintain strong relationships to maximize market share while adhering to AZ CO.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in pharmaceutical science, 3–5 years of pharma experience, English fluency, and strong presentation skills.

Job Description

This position is primarily responsible for positively influencing customers’ prescribing behaviour to achieve sales targets, develop territory and build strong customer relationships with the objective of maximizing sales volume and market share of designated products in a given territory in compliance with AZ CO.

Typical Accountabilities

• Engage primary care healthcare professionals in dialogue about approved indications and product efficacy/safety profiles to support on-label prescribing for appropriate patients.
• Work with Sales Manager to develop a local strategy and business plan to meet or exceed sales and call execution goals in the territory
• Drive sales performance and ensure sales forecasts and assigned budgets meet or exceed therapeutic and territory expectations
• Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the market, demographic, and managed market’s information relative to assigned sales territory
• Comply with all regulations regarding interactions with healthcare professionals, distribution of samples, etc.
• Ensure excellent medical knowledge and promotional skills related to his/her disease area and product

Essential

• Bachelor’s degree in pharmaceutical science
• Previous experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry at least 3-5 Years
