Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a Mechanical Engineer (Site Operation) to supervise construction activities and ensure compliance with contract documents, drawings and safety standards. You will file daily records, inspect contractor work, and coordinate with site leadership to deliver quality results.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years of overall experience, with 7+ years in the UAE, and a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 12+ years of overall experience.
7+ years of UAE experience preferred for site supervision roles.

Responsibilities

Read and understand package contract documents, drawings, specifications and safety measures.
Ensure contractors comply with contract standards through observation, measurements and testing.
Maintain records of contractor manpower and equipment resources daily.
Supervise site activities and inspections as directed by the Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer.
Document contractor personnel, equipment, activities and methods observed on site.
Report on materials delivery and follow site instructions; apply quality controls and procedures.
Monitor quality, performance and codes; ensure health and safety compliance on site.
