Job summary

James L Williams Middle East is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical QA/QC Engineer to join the QA/QC team and support major MEP projects in the UAE. You will lead quality inspections, manage NCRs and SORs, and ensure compliance with PQP, project specs, and approved drawings.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 8 years in QA/QC, including data centre experience, and the ability to coordinate with Consultants, clients, and subcontractors on site in Dubai.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of QA/QC experience, with mandatory experience in Data Centre projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical installations, inspection requirements, specifications, approved drawings, and quality processes.
• Strong working knowledge of PQP, ITPs, Method Statements, MIRs, WIRs, NCRs, SORs, and project close-out documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality inspections, submissions, non-conformance management, and close-out activities.
• Coordinate with project teams, consultants, clients, subcontractors, and service providers.
• Develop and coordinate Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and Method Statements for mechanical installations.
• Manage MIRs and verify materials against approved submittals.
• Coordinate mock-up inspections with Consultants and discipline engineers where required.
• Ensure calibration of measuring and testing instruments used on site.
• Oversee project handover including As-Built drawings, O&M Manuals, and warranties.
