Job summary

AECOM seeks a Mechanical Inspector to ensure contractor compliance with contract documents and quality standards. The role involves daily coordination with teams to document, verify work, and process inspections and submittals, while ensuring safety and site procedures are followed.

Responsibilities include reading contracts, supervising inspections, maintaining records, and reporting on materials and activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical projects is required.
• Construction supervision experience with a consultancy (minimum 7 years).
• For Inspector, a Diploma in Engineering is required; for Engineer level, a related Engineering degree.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand contract documents, drawings, specs and safety measures.
• Verify contractor compliance with standards through observation, measurements, and testing.
• Maintain records of contractor manpower and equipment daily resources.
• Supervise site inspections as directed by RE/ARE.
• Document contractor activities, locations, and methods observed.
• Report on materials delivery and implement site instructions from the leader.
• Apply quality controls and procedures at the site.
• Follow up on site instructions issued by the leader.
• Prepare site measurements and surveying checks as required.
• Monitor conformance to quality, performance, and codes through inspections.
• Monitor health and safety and report violations.
