Job summary

Tanqeeb in the United Arab Emirates seeks an experienced Mechanical Draftsman with hands-on experience in the heavy earthmoving machinery industry. The role focuses on AutoCAD 2D drawings and SolidWorks 3D models for fabrication and CNC-ready parts.

The candidate will reverse engineer components, prepare detailed fabrication drawings, and collaborate with engineers, fabricators, and machinists to ensure production readiness and precise specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience as a Mechanical Draftsman.
• Mandatory experience in the heavy earthmoving machinery industry.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of CNC machining and fabrication processes.
• Experience with laser, plasma, and water-jet cutting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate 2D mechanical drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop 3D models and mechanical components using SolidWorks.
• Prepare drawings for heavy earthmoving machinery components, attachments, and fabricated parts.
• Perform reverse engineering of mechanical components and machinery parts.
• Prepare fabrication and manufacturing drawings with accurate dimensions, tolerances, and specifications.
• Develop drawings suitable for CNC machining, laser cutting, plasma cutting, and water-jet cutting.
• Coordinate with engineers, workshop technicians, fabricators, and machinists to ensure drawings are practical and production-ready.
• Review and revise drawings based on engineering and workshop requirements. Maintain accurate drawing records and technical documentation.
• Support the engineering and workshop teams in resolving drawing and fabrication-related issues.
