Job summary

Al Marwan Group in the United Arab Emirates seeks an experienced Mechanical Draftsman with hands-on experience in heavy earthmoving machinery to support engineering, workshop, and fabrication operations. You will prepare 2D drawings in AutoCAD and develop 3D models in SolidWorks, perform reverse engineering, and produce fabrication drawings for CNC, laser, plasma, and water-jet cutting.

• Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience as a Mechanical Draftsman.
• Mandatory experience in the heavy earthmoving machinery industry.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and SolidWorks.
• Experience with reverse engineering of machinery components and parts.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Draftsman with hands‑on experience in the heavy earthmoving machinery industry to support our engineering, workshop, and fabrication operations.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in AutoCAD 2D and SolidWorks, along with practical knowledge of reverse engineering, CNC machining, laser/plasma/water‑jet cutting, and fabrication processes related to heavy machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate 2D mechanical drawings using AutoCAD.


• Develop 3D models and mechanical components using SolidWorks.


• Prepare drawings for heavy earthmoving machinery components, attachments, and fabricated parts.


• Perform reverse engineering of mechanical components and machinery parts.


• Prepare fabrication and manufacturing drawings with accurate dimensions, tolerances, and specifications.


• Develop drawings suitable for CNC machining, laser cutting, plasma cutting, and water‑jet cutting.


• Coordinate with engineers, workshop technicians, fabricators, and machinists to ensure drawings are practical and production‑ready.


• Review and revise drawings based on engineering and workshop requirements.


• Maintain accurate drawing records and technical documentation.


• Support the engineering and workshop teams in resolving drawing and fabrication‑related issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.


• Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience as a Mechanical Draftsman.


• Mandatory experience in the heavy earthmoving machinery industry.


• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D.


• Good working knowledge of SolidWorks.


• Practical experience in reverse engineering of machinery components and parts.


• Knowledge of CNC machining and fabrication processes.


• Experience with laser, plasma, and water‑jet cutting processes.


• Good understanding of mechanical components, fabrication drawings, dimensions, and tolerances.


• Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy.


• Good communication and coordination skills.

Industry Experience – Mandatory

Candidates must have relevant experience in heavy earthmoving machinery, such as excavators, wheel loaders, bulldozers, graders, dump trucks, crushers, attachments, or other heavy equipment.

Experience limited to general building construction or architectural drafting will not be considered.
