Job summary

Penspen Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer, Construction (Instrumentation) for site operations in Abu Dhabi. The role oversees instrumentation works on oil and gas projects, ensuring safe, timely and quality execution aligned with project specs and standards.

The candidate will supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of instruments and control systems, review drawings, and coordinate with contractors and engineering teams to maintain progress and safety on site.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering instrumentation, electronics, or control engineering.
15+ years in oil & gas sector.
5+ years in GCC region.
5+ years in a similar role.
Extensive experience in oil & gas pipeline.
Knowledge of field instruments, DCS, PLC, SIS, F&G, and control systems.
Experience in EPC/EPCM environments.
Strong understanding of HSE requirements and industry codes.
Proven leadership and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of instruments and control systems.
Review drawings, specifications, method statements, and construction packages.
Coordinate contractors, vendors, and engineering teams.
Monitor progress, quality, safety, and schedules.
Manage inspections, loop checks, system completion, and handovers.
Resolve technical and site-related issues.
