Job summary

Penspen is hiring an experienced Construction Superintendent (Mechanical) for a site-based role in Abu Dhabi, to oversee field mechanical construction on oil and gas projects.

The successful candidate will ensure mechanical work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with project specifications and quality standards, with emphasis on leadership, coordination, and adherence to HSE requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline is mandatory.
• 17+ years of relevant oil & gas experience.
• 5 years in GCC region.
• 5 years of experience in similar position.
• Extensive experience in Oil & Gas pipeline.
• Experience in EPC/EPCM project environments.
• In-depth understanding of HSE requirements and industry codes/standards.
• Proven leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical construction, including piping, equipment installation, fabrication, and testing.
• Coordinate subcontractors, crews, materials, and equipment.
• Enforce HSE requirements and conduct daily safety meetings.
• Monitor progress, quality, productivity, and project schedules.
• Review drawings, specifications, method statements, and work packages.
• Coordinate inspections, pre-commissioning, and system handover.
• Provide daily reports and resolve field issues promptly.
