Job summary

Tanqeeb in the United Arab Emirates seeks a senior Mechanical BIM Engineer to develop and manage complex 3D BIM models for mechanical systems, ensuring design intent and project specs are met.

You will collaborate with architects and engineers to coordinate systems, perform clash detection with Navisworks, and produce detailed drawings and reports for construction documentation and fabrication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in mechanical design and BIM modeling within the construction industry.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP for creating and managing mechanical BIM models.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems design principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage complex 3D BIM models for mechanical systems, ensuring adherence to project specifications and design intent.
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines to coordinate mechanical systems and resolve clashes proactively.
• Generate detailed 2D drawings, schedules, and reports from BIM models for construction documentation and fabrication.
• Perform clash detection and resolution using Navisworks or similar software, identifying and mitigating potential conflicts before construction.
