Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Abu Dhabi to design HVAC, lighting, power distribution, and related systems for large-scale projects. You will use AutoCAD, Revit, and Revizto to create detailed layouts, while ensuring compliance with local codes and sustainability goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
5–8 years of experience in the design and supervision of mechanical works on large-scale Middle East projects.
As part of AECOMs Emiratisation and UAE labour law, UAE Nationals with family book will be considered for this role.

Responsibilities

Create designs for HVAC, lighting, power distribution, fire safety, plumbing and energy systems.
Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, Revizto and BIM tools to produce detailed layouts and schematics.
Develop sustainable and energy-efficient solutions that comply with regulations and environmental standards.
Collaborate with architects and engineers to integrate building systems into designs.
Manage project timelines, budgets and resources to ensure successful delivery.
Prepare technical reports, specifications and calculations to support project needs.
Ensure compatibility and functionality of building services systems within the structure.
Address challenges in integrating new systems into existing buildings.
