Job summary

Expro in Abu Dhabi seeks a skilled technician to ensure machinery is maintained in safe, reliable condition. You will perform repairs, diagnose issues, and verify equipment operation after service, using testing devices and blueprints.

Two years of hands-on experience with machines and tools is required, along with a solid foundation in engineering/CS concepts and a strong safety mindset. The role emphasizes proactive maintenance, accurate record-keeping, and collaboration with operators.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience with machines and tools including repairs and maintenance.
• 2 years practical application of engineering/computer science principles to design and production.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain codes and programs for computer-controlled machinery; record parts and materials used; order or requisition replacements as required.
• Examine parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear; record repairs and maintenance performed.
• Analyze test results, machine error messages, and information from operators to diagnose equipment problems.
• Study blueprints and manuals to determine correct installation and operation of machinery.
• Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment and machinery.
• Disassemble machinery to remove parts and perform repairs; reassemble after inspections and tests.
• Repair, restore and maintain operating condition by replacing broken components.
• Observe and test operation of machinery to diagnose malfunctions using voltmeters and testing devices.
• Operate newly repaired machinery to verify the adequacy of repairs.

Overall Purpose of the Job

To ensure that Expro equipment and machinery is in good working order at all times and is maintained in a safe manner.

Key Activities and Accountabilities

1. 1. Maintain codes and programs for computer-controlled machinery record parts and materials used and order or requisition new parts and materials as required.
2. 2. Examine parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear record repairs and maintenance performed.
3. 3. Analyse test results machine error messages and information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems.
4. 4. Study blueprints and manufacturers manuals to determine correct installation and operation of machinery.
5. 5. Clean lubricate and adjust parts equipment and machinery.
6. 6. Disassemble machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs and reassemble equipment after completion of inspections testing or repairs.
7. 7. Repair restore and maintain the operating condition of machinery and equipment replacing broken or malfunctioning components of machinery and equipment.
8. 8. Observe and test the operation of machinery and equipment in order to diagnose malfunctions using voltmeters and other testing devices.
9. 9. Operate newly repaired machinery and equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.

Job Knowledge and Qualifications

1. 1. 2 years experience of machines and tools including uses design repair and maintenance
2. 2. 2 years experience of the practical application of engineering/computer science and technology; applying principles techniques procedures and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
