Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily execution of maintenance and repair activities for mechanical electrical or instrumentation systems ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational efficiency
• Lead and mentor a team of technicians providing clear direction performance feedback and fostering a collaborative work environment to achieve departmental goals
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize the lifespan of critical equipment
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues diagnose root causes and implement effective solutions to restore system functionality
• Manage spare parts inventory and procurement ensuring availability of necessary components while controlling costs
• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards safety regulations and environmental policies
• Review and approve work orders job plans and technical reports ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Collaborate with other departments such as engineering and production to integrate maintenance activities with overall operational objectives
• Conduct regular safety inspections and toolbox talks promoting a strong safety culture and identifying potential hazards
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance processes and procedures through analysis of performance data and implementation of best practices

Requirements

• Possession of a Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related technical field.Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in a supervisory role within the relevant industry (e.g., oil and gas, manufacturing, power generation)
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, TUV, specific vendor certifications) demonstrating specialized expertise
• Proven ability to lead and motivate diverse technical teams, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance
• Expertise in troubleshooting and repairing complex mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation systems
• Strong understanding of safety regulations, risk assessment, and environmental compliance
• Proficiency in using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for work order management and data analysis
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a pragmatic approach to resolving technical challenges
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with all levels of the organization
