Job summary

Wood in Abu Dhabi seeks a seasoned PMC Lead Materials Engineer to direct all materials engineering and corrosion control activities for ADNOC projects, ensuring material selection and corrosion mitigation align with standards and budgets.

The role oversees EPC contractor deliverables, safeguards asset integrity, and minimizes lifecycle risks, delivering successful project execution within scope and schedule. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 15+ years of relevant experience in oil and gas.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with ADNOC standards and international codes (ASME, ASTM, NACE).
• Knowledge of engineering software and general business software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all materials engineering and corrosion control activities for ADNOC projects on behalf of the PMC.
• Oversee EPC contractor deliverables to ensure compliance and quality.
• Safeguard asset integrity and minimize lifecycle risks.
• Ensure project execution within scope, schedule and budget.
• Act as technical authority for material selection and corrosion management.
